Several factors are to consider when it is question of the environmental value of a product. For insulation, cellulose is known as being the product that generates the less pollution while having a high thermal performance.
Moreover, since 2001, considerable efforts have been put into place to lower the amount of residues resulting from the plant activity.
Reuse
Since its beginning, Benolec prefer ecological choices. That’s the reason why we promote, for example, the reuse of the palettes in the plant. When they do not correspond to our needs anymore, we also avoid just throwing them away.
Recycle
Beno-Therm cellulose insulation is composed of approximately 85% of recycled news paper. Moreover, all of the plastic and metal residues generated by the plant activity are now sorted and sent to recycle centers.
Reduction
With a thermal performance of 3.8R per inch of thickness, Beno-Therm cellulose insulation lowers considerably the air leakage, which lowers the amount of energy needed for heating and air-conditioning.
The production process of Beno-Therm cellulose insulation uses up to 20 times less energy than other types of insulation available on the market, which makes Beno-Therm a greener choice.
